The sixth annual AARP Innovation@50+ event will take place Wednesday April 12 and Thursday April 13, 2017 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA. Building on the success of the past five years with industry leading programming and a unique start up pitch competition.

Programming will include sessions with Caregiving Health Technology and Financial Technology experts from industry, investment and AARP, focusing on technology innovations that advance the Caregiving Health and Financial needs of those over 50. The discussions offer attendees the opportunity to hear from and engage with entrepreneurs and investors, as well as business leaders and influencers.

The second half of each day features pitch competitions with ten Caregiving Health Technology and Financial Technology companies. Each company will present their business focus on stage in rapid 3 minute presentations to a panel of industry expert judges, most of whom are venture capitalists and angel investors focused on health or financial tech solutions, especially for the aging boomer population.

Only AARP takes pitch competitions up a notch, harnessing the power of their 38 million members. The startup companies are also pitching before an audience of AARP members. This dual-pitch event is the only one of its kind, bringing together innovative startups pitching before expert judges along with their actual intended end users, consumers whose feedback is gathered and shared real-time.
